At Bike Hike & Paddle we are keen to ensure that our Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expeditions are available for all, as such we have a bursary (funding) available to help support those who need it. Both kit loans and price reductions. We give priority to those living in our home area of Cumberland.

“I'm really thankful for the opportunity the Bike Hike Paddle bursary gave me to complete my Bronze DofE expedition. While I had been able to do the rest of the award through my Explorer Scouts unit, the dates for their Bronze were going to fall too close to when I am taking my GCSEs, meaning that I could not do that expedition. By providing the bursary place on the expedition, Bike Hike Paddle allowed me complete my Bronze expedition, so that I can now progress on to my Silver, and eventually my Gold award - an opportunity not always easy for home educators to access.”
